Senior Programme Coordinating Officer

Martha is a development worker with over 15 years of experience in the civil society sector nationally, regionally and internationally. Her areas of expertise include Organization Management and Program Coordination with practical experience in Programme Management: Design, Planning and implementation of varied programs, Gender Mainstreaming, gender budgeting and audit, Governance, Strategic Planning, Training and Facilitation, Advocacy, Budgeting and Budget Control, Participatory Methodologies and Approaches and Monitoring and Evaluation.

Francis Kibue holds a Bachelor of Commerce qualification and is a Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya. He has over 15 years’ experience in financial management in both commercial industry and international non-profit organisations.

Chilande  has twelve years of  diverse experience in increasingly responsible roles, providing technical assistance in organizational development and programme coordination to local, national and international organizations in multiple African and western countries.  She also has extensive experience working in the voluntary and philanthropy sectors, as well as in Health, HIV and AIDS, Youth & Child Development, Governance, Advocacy, Education and Natural Ressource Management.

Lilian Nanzala Makokha has been with FAWE since May 2011. She is responsible for the rational, efficient and accountable administration of human resources and administrative functions of FAWE’s Regional Secretariat. She has over 8 years working experience for various international non- governmental organization (INGO) in Gambia, Liberia, Malawi and Kenya, in variety of field including; Human resource, Administration, Finance and logistics.


Ms Daphne Nawa Chimuka Ms Daphne Nawa Chimuka
FAWE Network Specialist

Daphne is currently working as a FAWE Network Specialist, after holding the position of National Coordinator for FAWE of Zambia (FAWEZA) from 2001 to 2012. Prior to this she held various management portfolios in the Ministry of Education in Zambia, including District Education Officer. During her tenure as National Coordinator, she personally designed two of FAWEZA’s successful innovations; the Reading Circles Programme and the Mobile Library. She has served on various national and international committees, including the Commonwealth Gender Plan of Action Monitoring Group.

Jane Muriuki assists the programmes section in programme support, logistics and administration. She has worked as a bilingual secretary at Shelter Afrique and as personal assistant to the general manager of a petroleum company.

Programme Officer, French speaking countries

Ramata Almamy Mbaye is a sociologist, with special focus on child protection and Gender Education in Africa. She has over 17 years’ experience with leading NGOs working on education and the promotion of children’s rights. Before joining FAWE, she worked for Plan International Senegal, FAWE Senegal and FAWE WASRO.

Office Assistant

Zeddiel Bundi is in charge of the front office and is responsible for welcoming and orienting visitors to FAWE House. He performs various administrative duties including travel arrangements and managing office supplies, the telephone system and correspondence.


Mr Joseph Muiruri Mr Joseph Muiruri

Joseph Muiruri has worked for FAWE for over 10 years. He is responsible for transportation for the Executive Director and other staff members and oversees security and the maintenance of FAWE House premises and equipment.
