BURSARY
FAWE Gambia has provided bursaries to XX needy girls.
MOTHER'S CLUBS
FAWE Gambia chapter in collaboration with the community has established mothers' clubs to support support girls' education in disadvantaged areas.
CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE
The Chapter in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the community has established a Centre of Excellence at Sambang Upper Basic School, Niamina District aimed at creating a gender responsive school environment. The activities at the school have included
- In-service teacher training on Gender Responsive Pedagogy and study technology
- Provision of gender responsive infrastructure (Toilets, Resource Centre)
- Sensitization of the Community to support girls' access, retention and performance
