FAWE GUINEA Chapter was founded
in 1997 and has a total of 266 members.
FAWE Guinea has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Education which facilitates their activities in influencing policy
CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE
The Chapter in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the community has established a Centre of Excellence at Linsan, Kindia District aimed at creating a gender responsive school environment. The activities at the school have included
- In-service teacher training on Gender
- Sensitization of the Community to support girls' access, retention and performance
Bursary
FAWE Guinea has provide bursaries to 21 girls
TUSEME
FAWE Guinea has established TUSEME Girls' Empowerment Clubs in 5 schools
