| FAWE KENYA Chapter was founded in 1996 and has a total of 580 members
FAWE Kenya has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Education which facilitates their activities in influencing policy
CENTRES OF EXCELLENCE The Chapter in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the community has established 2 COEs Centre of Excellence at Kajiado District and Athwan, Meru District aimed at creating a gender responsive school environment. The activities at the school have included
- In-service teacher training on Gender Responsive Pedagogy and Guidance and Counselling
- Sensitization of the Community to support girls' access, retention and performance
- Gender Responsive Infrastructure (Dormitories, toilets)
- Tuseme Girls' Empowerment Clubs
- Bursaries for needy girls

FAWE Kenya Chapter has supported many girls with bursaries
Awards FAWE Kenya Chapter runs the Agathe Uwilingiyimana Award and the FAWE Award for Media Excellence (FAME)
Mainstreaming, FAWE Kenya Chapter in collaboration with the MOE has mainstreamed FAWE Best practices into the Kenya Education Sector Support Programme (KESSP). These include Management of Sexual Maturation, Centres of Excellence, Gender responsive pedagogy and TUSEME.
