FAWE NAMIBIA Chapter was founded in 1999 and has a total of 77 members
CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE
The Chapter in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the community has established a Centre of Excellence at Hage Geingob school, Katutura aimed at creating a gender responsive school environment. The activities at the school have included
- In-service teacher training on Gender
- Provision of gender responsive learning materials
- Sensitization of the Community to support girls' access, retention and performance
BURSARIES
FAWENA has provided bursaries to 328 needy girls.
TUSEME
FAWENA has trained teachers from 10 schools on the TUSEME Girls' Empowerment Methodology CONTACTS
